About The Position
George Evans Corporation is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our Steel Shed team. This position plays a key role in keeping production moving by safely handling steel materials, operating forklifts and cranes, and maintaining accurate inventory within our Global Shop Solutions (GSS) system. If you enjoy staying active, operating equipment, working independently, and being part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this could be a great fit for you.
Requirements
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
- Team player with a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Previous forklift or crane experience preferred
- ERP or inventory system experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Unload incoming steel deliveries
- Move materials throughout the production facility
- Load outgoing shipments safely and accurately
- Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability in GSS
- Verify labels, paperwork, and materials for accuracy
- Support production teams by ensuring materials are where they need to be
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
