Receives, stores, and distributes products within the warehouse. This role involves reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. The Material Handler conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas, sorts and places them on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence. They also pick customer orders from stock, place them on pallets or shelves, or convey them to the packing station or shipping department. Additionally, this role involves marking materials with identifying information, opening crates and containers, coordinating warehouse activities with the warehouse leader and office teams, and cross-training in all facets of the warehouse and potentially other departments. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment through general housekeeping duties and strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment, is crucial. Other duties may be assigned.
