About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Steel Erectors/Iron Workers for projects located in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow directions
- Experience using ironworker hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Erect and install structural steel stairs handrails and miscellaneous metals
- Bolt weld align and secure steel components according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and layout plans
- Safely operate hand and power tools commonly used in ironwork
- Work at heights while following all osha and jobsite safety requirements
- Assist with rigging material handling and equipment setup as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
