About The Position

JMT Consultants is seeking a Steel Detailing Project Manager for a full-time, permanent, remote position. As a North American-based global leader in steel and concrete design solutions, JMT Consultants offers services including pre-construction modeling, structural design support, steel and concrete detailing, connection and stair engineering, panel book detailing, estimate modeling, and BIM management. The Project Manager will leverage their deep knowledge of steel structures to guide projects from inception to completion, overseeing detailing, fabrication, and assembly. This role requires expertise in steel structure design and construction to craft project plans, execute intricate designs, and coordinate with architectural and engineering blueprints. The Project Manager will be crucial in ensuring projects stay on schedule and clients receive exceptional service. Requirements

Advanced Tekla Structures skills.
3-5 years of project management experience in steel detailing or a related field.
Expertise in structural and miscellaneous steel construction.
Ability to interpret fabrication drawings.
Motivated self-starter who thrives on juggling multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Relevant Diploma, Certificate, or work experience.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Lead project management from initial planning through to delivery.
Apply advanced Tekla Structures skills to steer design and detailing processes.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and fabricators to ensure project accuracy.
Manage project schedules, oversee RFIs, and handle change orders.
Cultivate a cooperative and high-energy team environment.
Ensure client satisfaction through direct engagement, effective communication, and problem-solving.
