About The Position

JMT Consultants is seeking a Steel Detailing Project Manager to lead projects from inception to completion. The role involves guiding projects through detailing, fabrication, and assembly, ensuring precision and quality. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in steel structure design and construction to create effective project plans, execute intricate designs, and collaborate with architectural and engineering blueprints. This leadership position is crucial for maintaining project schedules and ensuring exceptional client service within the steel construction industry.

Requirements

Advanced Tekla Structures skills.
3-5 years of project management experience in steel detailing or a related field.
Expertise in structural and miscellaneous steel construction.
Ability to interpret fabrication drawings.
Motivated self-starter who thrives on juggling multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Relevant Diploma, Certificate or work experience.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Lead project management from initial planning through to delivery.
Apply advanced Tekla Structures skills to steer design and detailing processes.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and fabricators to ensure project accuracy.
Manage project schedules, oversee RFIs, and handle change orders.
Cultivate a cooperative and high-energy team environment.
Ensure client satisfaction through direct engagement, effective communication, and problem-solving.
