About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging instructors to lead our after-school STEAM program for students in grades K-5. This role involves teaching Aviation, Chemistry, and Drama concepts in an interactive and fun environment. The program runs from September to October, with classes held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at our Haworth, NJ location.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
• Knowledge and passion for teaching STEAM subjects (Aviation, Chemistry, Drama).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM.
• Must be able to work in Haworth, NJ.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an after-school instructor.
• Background in education or a related field.
• Experience with curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Aviation, Chemistry, and Drama.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for K-5th grade students.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
• Prepare materials and set up the classroom for each session.
