About The Position

We are seeking a part-time STEAM After School Instructor to lead engaging classes for students in grades K-5. Classes run Monday through Friday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, typically in 60-minute blocks. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
• Knowledge and passion for STEAM subjects.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage young learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work part-time hours, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
• Background check clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a teacher or camp counselor.
• Experience developing or delivering STEAM curriculum.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, a STEAM field, or related area.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in STEAM subjects.
• Facilitate 60-minute class blocks between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

• Prepare and deliver engaging STEAM curriculum.
