After School STEM instructor - Part Time
About The Position
Mad Science is hiring a part-time After School STEM instructor. This role involves transforming laboratory science into fun, interactive learning experiences for youth from Pre-K to 6th grade. The job is different and exciting, offering a flexible schedule to teach science workshops during afternoons and/or weekends. The company provides all supplies, equipment, and curriculum for easy-to-teach, fun science classes. Instructors will drive to various locations like schools, daycares, or park and rec centers to lead one-hour immersive and interactive science lessons after receiving paid training.
Requirements
- Flexible, creative, engaging, and have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Love children, science, teaching and/or acting.
- Own/have regular access to a car.
- Thrive in environments with a lot of support but function with a great deal of autonomy.
- Excited by non-traditional work schedules.
- Not afraid to try new things and love variety.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the gig economy.
Responsibilities
