About The Position

Mad Science is hiring a part-time After School STEM instructor. This role involves teaching science workshops to children from Pre-K to 6th grade in various locations such as schools, daycares, or park and rec centers. The instructor will lead one-hour immersive and interactive science lessons using provided supplies, equipment, and curriculum. The position offers a flexible schedule, with opportunities to work 1 to 5 days a week, primarily in the afternoons and/or weekends. The company provides comprehensive paid training to ensure instructors are comfortable with the curriculum. Mad Science is a global brand with over 35 years of experience in sparking imaginative learning through various programs for children aged 3-12.

Requirements

Flexible, creative, engaging, and possess excellent verbal communication skills.
Love children, science, teaching, and/or acting.
Own/have regular access to a car.
Ability to take initiative and ownership.
Thrive in environments with support and autonomy.
Excited by non-traditional work schedules and the gig economy.
Not afraid to try new things and enjoy variety.

Responsibilities
