About The Position

PENN Entertainment is hiring a part-time Steakhouse Server to take and serve food and beverage orders, process customer payments, and provide table service according to department standards. The role also involves safe food handling, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the assigned area, restocking supplies, and completing side duties. The server collaborates with other service and kitchen staff to support an efficient operation and must follow uniform, grooming, safety, regulatory, departmental, and company requirements. Other related and compatible duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food and wine.
• Ability to earn and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Ability to earn and maintain TiPS certification.
• Availability to work the required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• One to three months of food-service experience preferred.
• Six months of gourmet food-service experience preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and accurately take food and beverage orders, transmit orders to the Culinary team, and serve food items to guests.
• Complete customer sales, including handling money, counting back change, processing and validating comps, and operating the POS system and cash bag or bank appropriately.
• Provide table service according to department standards.
• Follow food-handling procedures to ensure safe, quality products.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the assigned area, restock supplies, and complete side duties according to department standards.
• Work with servers, bussers, venue hosts, supervisors, and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
• Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Perform job duties safely and responsibly.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
