About The Position

The Steakhouse Food Server receives and serves food and beverage orders from guests and may collect payment and make change. The position involves greeting guests, entering orders through a computerized guest check system, retrieving prepared orders from the kitchen, and delivering them to guests. Servers carry and balance trays or push carts through the kitchen and dining room, maintain dining-room cleanliness, and present checks and handle payment or deliver it to the cashier.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must be able to use a computer system to place food and beverage orders and process payments.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of food and beverage service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Receive and process food and beverage orders using a computerized guest check system.
• Retrieve prepared orders from the kitchen and deliver them to guests.
• Carry and balance trays and/or push carts of food and beverages through the kitchen and dining room.
• Maintain cleanliness of all dining-room areas.
• Present checks to guests, collect payment, make change if needed, and/or deliver payment to the cashier.
