About The Position

This position provides assistance and support for program staff within the 21st CCLC After-School and Summer Programs. The role involves maintaining program records, administering statistics using Google Drive and/or MS Office software, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data collection, maintenance, and reporting. The specialist will oversee the transmission of student data to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), assist with student registration and data entry, and serve as the program contact for all statistics and data management systems. Additionally, the role supports program staff in producing reports on student achievement and work, prepares federal, state, and local reports, and compiles end-of-year statistics for the upcoming school year. The position may be split between school buildings and requires participation in continued education as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • Knowledge & keen proficiency in 21st CCLC statistical and data requirements.
  • Ability to create data charts and documents pertinent to the program.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in effectively managing data systems in an organization, preferably a 21st CCLC Prog.
  • Excellent attendance record and commitment to the program.
  • Understanding of computers, software, Google Drive, MS Office, and OS X.
  • Must be a team player with ability to work with educators and students.
  • Your own transportation is necessary to travel between school buildings when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and support for program staff.
  • Maintain program records and work with Google Drive and/or MS Office software to administer statistics.
  • Establish and ensure accuracy and efficiency in data collection, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student data and oversee the transmission of this data to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
  • Assist with the student registration process, and facilitate and ensure correct, timely data entry.
  • Serve as program contact for all statistics and data management systems.
  • Assist program staff in the production and management of various reports of student achievement and student work.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local reports as needed.
  • Prepare end of year student & program statistics and data in preparation for the new school year.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Program Manager or designee.
  • Participate in continued education certification/workshops, if deemed necessary by the Program Manager.
