About The Position

The Site Coordinator for the Timony Grammar School 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Gr. 3-6 After-School Program is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the after-school program for DPT program students, including Newcomers/ELs, as directed by the Program Manager of Community Programs. This role involves implementing curriculum, managing personnel and logistics, and ensuring program goals are met. The program is tentatively planned to run from October 5th, 2026, until June 3rd, 2027, pending snow days. Additional hours are required for planning, professional development, and as directed by the Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Certified teacher in the Methuen Public Schools (MPS) preferred and/or prior experience as 21st CCLC coordinator or teacher
  • Ability to speak Spanish and familiarity with SAYOs & program reporting a plus
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills, & attendance rqd.
  • Working knowledge of curriculum frameworks for grades 3-6, SAYOs, and APTs
  • Successful experience implementing grammar school curriculum, health & fitness planning in MPS
  • Successful experience working collaboratively with other educators, including teachers within the Methuen Public Schools and other organizations such as Nevins Library, SNL Sports
  • Successful experience working with ELL, Title I, SPED, at-risk or struggling students
  • Ability to work with MacBook, Chromebooks, STEM kits, robotics, Google Drive, MS Office, & OS X
  • Ability to drive program/MPS van, e.g., for field trips

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the after-school/remote (if necessary) program for DPT program students, including Newcomers/ELs, as directed by Program Manager of Community Programs (Program Manager)
  • Implement iPad/Chromebooks, STEAM/other project-based curriculum w/ ELA focus
  • Ensure that goals of grant are being addressed in academic & enrichment parts of the programs
  • Manage after-school personnel, food services, field trips, parent pick-up & bus transportation
  • Work with program partners and make transportation arrangements for field trips, if necessary
  • Meet with the Program Mgr., to discuss program/student issues
  • Maintain communications w/ Prog. Mgr., staff, and nurse, regarding program and/or students, and ability to drive program/MPS van, if necessary; excellent attendance required
  • Keep required records, and submit reports accurately and in a timely manner
  • Hold planning meetings, attend PD workshop(s), and submit notes of each to the Program Manager
  • Position may be split at discretion of the Program Manager
