About The Position
The Stationary Engineer is responsible for maintaining accurate logs on all equipment in the hospital and ensuring a safe working environment. This role involves maintaining and repairing various systems including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. The engineer will also be responsible for the overall maintenance of the building and its related systems. This position requires certification and/or licensure in a specific trade directly related to healthcare engineering.
Requirements
- Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred
- Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment.
- Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
- Maintains the building and its related systems.
