Stationary Engineer II
About The Position
Maintains facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and systems, and repairs or replaces equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations. Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs, and replaces pipes, fittings, and equipment used in the hospital’s heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Installs system components such as filters, valves, thermostats, and building automation system (BAS) components. Assists the Director with planning expansion and renovation projects and forecasting operating budgets and capital needs. Also performs related maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection, and installation work on HVAC systems and components, and maintains inventory parts and supplies. May perform other related duties consistent with the required preparation and training and the department’s needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience working for an HVAC/air conditioning company or a mechanical contractor.
- Certified HVAC Technician.

- Graduate of a trade or vocational school in a related field.
