About The Position

The Stationary Engineer maintains, operates, monitors, and repairs utilities and related central plant equipment, and responds to maintenance requests from hospitals, clinics, and supporting facilities. The role maintains the central plant in clean, good working condition; performs preventive maintenance; and schedules and completes corrective maintenance in a timely and professional manner while documenting activities and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with water treatment for heating and cooling systems to protect water and steam piping and system integrity.
• Experience using HVAC/temperature controls, Energy Management Systems, and computer operations to maintain proper building temperatures.
• OSHA Basic and NFPA70E.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under stressful conditions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Operating Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally, identify the caller’s department, and resolve requests.
• Complete preventive maintenance and work requests promptly using the appropriate work order form.
• Visually inspect and adjust power plant equipment to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot engineering equipment and systems according to manufacturers’ recommended maintenance and operating parameters.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain the Energy Management System, adjusting heating and cooling schedules according to building loads.
• Conduct building rounds and equipment inspections, accurately record round-sheet data, and report problems to a supervisor.
• Maintain, operate, monitor, and repair utilities and related central plant equipment.
• Maintain a clean, properly functioning central plant and document maintenance activities.
