The primary function of this position is to ensure the plant boiler systems are maintained operational and to identify and follow through on repairs. This role involves planning alternate activities to maximize opportunity and take advantage of unscheduled downtime or work delays. The Stationary Engineer will work with the supervisor to order overhaul and spare parts as needed, troubleshoot to repair and install mechanical equipment, and participate in plant facilities and utilities such as Air Compressor System, Boiler and Steam Systems, Hot Water and High-Pressure Systems, Pressure Controls, Plumbing, and Repairs. This role requires conferring with production, central engineering, R&D, contractors, and other operation groups to assist in starting new processes, lines, or plant trials. Additionally, the position involves maintaining records and inventories, keeping an orderly and clean work area, and complying with all company safety policies, OSHA rules and regulations, good manufacturing practices (GMP), 5S requirements, and the plant Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) policy. At the end of the shift, the Stationary Engineer must clean and secure all equipment and perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
