About The Position

SkyHop Global is a leading ground transportation provider for airline crews, offering transportation services during layovers in numerous cities. This role is responsible for managing, coordinating, and scheduling a fleet of drivers to align with airline schedules. Depending on the location's size, the position may require 50-75% of scheduled time to be spent in the field. The Station Manager will also assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, motivating, coaching, and mentoring transport drivers, as well as overseeing the daily maintenance and inspection of fleet vehicles, scheduling maintenance, and communicating any concerns to the Fleet Manager. Additionally, the role involves promoting safe work practices through safety audits and leading safety meetings, maintaining positive relationships with airport ground transportation, and ensuring timely completion of paperwork and adherence to company policies.

Requirements

  • Management and coordination of a fleet of drivers.
  • Scheduling drivers according to airline schedules.
  • Maximizing profitability and customer experience through cost-effective driver utilization.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and feedback to drivers.
  • Minimizing overtime except in emergencies.
  • Assisting with driver recruitment, interviewing, selection, training, motivation, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Overseeing daily maintenance and inspection of fleet vehicles.
  • Scheduling vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicating vehicle maintenance concerns to the Fleet Manager.
  • Managing fleet checklists.
  • Conducting safety audits.
  • Leading station safety meetings.
  • Managing local permits and vehicle registrations.
  • Communicating with finance for timely renewal of permits and registrations.
  • Maintaining positive professional relationships with airport ground transportation.
  • Completing required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Adhering to company policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the work activity for a group of drivers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and the customer experience.
  • Provides leadership and direction to drivers to include process improvement, team-building, coaching and feedback.
  • Assist in minimizing overtime only to emergencies situations.
  • Assist the Station Manager with the following: Recruit, interview, select, train, motivate, coach, and mentor transport drivers.
  • Responsible assisting in the daily maintenance review of fleet vehicles; daily vehicle inspections, schedule maintenance, and communicate concerns to Fleet Manager daily when necessary and through weekly. Manage checklists on the fleet.
  • Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, leading station safety meetings on a regular basis and meeting with individual staff members.
  • Assist the Station Manager with managing local permits and vehicle registrations and communicate with finance for timely renewal.
  • Maintain positive professional relationship with airport ground transportation.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Must complete required paperwork timely.
  • Adhere to company policies and all protocol.
