SkyHop Global is seeking an experienced Lead Driver (LOD) at our Jacksonville, FL station. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive alongside your team while coaching, mentoring, and ensuring safe, on-time operations. If you have transportation or airline/airport industry experience and a passion for leading by example, we want to meet you!

Requirements

• 2+ years of leadership or management experience (airport/airline industry preferred).
• A proven driver advocate with coaching/training background.
• Strong communicator (verbal & written) with basic computer and mobile technology skills.
• Committed to building and maintaining a safety culture.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and insurable under company policy (airport permits may be required).
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of 15+ drivers, serving as both a driver and coach (“player-coach” style leadership).
• Ensure routes are safe, efficient, and on time—jump in to assist when needed.
• Oversee scheduling, operational planning, and contribute to KPIs, budget awareness, and staffing.
• Build strong relationships with airline crew members—deliver “Raving Fan” service every time.
• Champion safety: enforce “Safety First” standards, inspections, and compliance with company policies.
• Communicate station updates and data to Dispatch and HQ for smooth operations.
• Recruit, train, and develop drivers who are accountable, professional, and focused on service excellence.
