State Safety & Emissions Inspector - VA Inspection License Required
About The Position
Our Service Inspectors are at the core of our business and vital to successful day-to-day operations of each of our locations! This role involves providing accurate and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded. You will test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety, and inspect and repair customers vehicles to ensure they are in accordance with state requirements. This position also promotes a company culture of cooperation and collaboration among all team members and assists other teammates with tasks as needed to consistently deliver on our expectation of delivering a wow experience.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of automotive repair experience.
- Must have a valid Virginia Inspector license.
- Must have at least 1 year experience as a Virginia State Inspector.
- Must have own tools (We offer a great tool purchase program!)
- Capable of operating machines and equipment used in the automotive mechanic trade -- diagnostic scanner experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistency follow store policies and procedures.
- Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
- Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Capable of continuous standing, bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs).
- Availability to work on Saturdays.
- We are focused on safety, but Service Techs should be comfortable with occasional exposure to mechanical hazards and outside weather conditions.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
