About The Position
The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher instructs 4-year-old children according to each child’s needs and program requirements, helping prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. The role includes providing daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements; observing and assessing children and planning for their needs; communicating effectively with families; completing training on child care, preschool, and child development; and implementing curriculum through fun, interactive learning experiences. The position requires engaging with children in indoor and outdoor settings and participating in physical activity with them.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or an active CDA in Preschool.
- Experience in a licensed childcare center or a related field.
- Ability to meet state education requirements and center requirements.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Responsibilities
- Instruct 4-year-old children based on their individual needs and program requirements.
- Follow licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements to ensure daily care of children in the classroom.
