About The Position

The State Pre-K Lead Teacher plans, assesses, and provides instruction based on each child’s needs and program requirements. The role focuses on preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond through engaging learning experiences and support for children’s development. The Lead Teacher also mentors fellow Teachers, leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, ensures compliance with licensing guidelines, company standards, and Pre-K program requirements, and builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and center success.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a related degree.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess, and provide instruction based on each child’s needs and program requirements.
• Create fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Mentor fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the class.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Understand and follow licensing guidelines, company standards, and Pre-K program requirements.
• Build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success.
