Learn more at www.michigan.gov/LEO. This position will serve as an administrative manager for the Michigan High-Speed Internet Office. The responsibilities include research, policy development, program planning, implementation, and assessment of programs related to broadband and technology adoption and digital opportunities. Incumbent is a liaison with the public, businesses, ISPs, state agencies, legislature, and other critical stakeholders. This position represents the office and the agency at meetings with internal and external customers. Also, directs the activities of staff responsible for broadband and technology adoption and digital opportunities. The official workstation for this position will be the successful candidate’s home. However, this is a field position that requires regular travel throughout the state. All work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.

Requirements

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
• Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
• All work must be performed in Michigan.
• If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.

• Official college transcripts must contain the college/university name and address, the degree conferred, date granted, coursework completed (especially if no degree granted), and the Registrar's signature and/or seal.
• If you have a degree from a foreign college or university, have your academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents unless the degree has been recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Submit and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment.
• Certain positions may also require state criminal, fingerprint-based and driving record background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
