About The Position
This is a fast-paced position that involves welcoming and assisting members and guests on the golf course. A Starter/Player Assistance monitors pace of play and golf course decorum. Successful candidates will display a hard work ethic and the ability to interact with our members and guests in a friendly manner. This is a part-time seasonal position. Time period: October to May based on business needs.
Requirements
- Must have golf knowledge and experience (golf course etiquette, pace of play & care of the course)
- Punctuality; Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and understanding
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Can work early shifts (starting at 6:00am) or closing shifts (based on Sunset)
Responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests on the first tee or tenth tee. Inform them of important golf course information prior to teeing off (dress code, course conditions and restrictions, hole location, etc.). Confirm guest registration prior to teeing off.
- Ensure good pace-of-play.
- Enforce golf course policy: dress code, golf car usage, etc.
- Prevent unauthorized persons from using facilities.
- Rake bunkers, fix ball marks, sweep tee mats, etc.
- Perform any other necessary duties that aid the health and care of players and courses.
