About The Position

Seabreeze Management Company is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Golf Starter & Players Assistant to manage tee times, ensure a smooth flow of play, and provide excellent customer service to golfers. This role involves assisting members and guests, maintaining pace of play, and supporting various course operations. The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
• Varied working hours to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid Driver's License and State mandated vehicle insurance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of golf course operations and etiquette is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage tee times, ensuring all groups tee off at their scheduled times, checking in players, and managing delays or issues.
• Provide information to golfers about course rules, policies, and facilities, presenting a professional and positive image.
• Monitor the pace of play on the course, direct players to the first tee, address slow play issues, and communicate with marshals.
• Ensure golf carts are ready for use, maintain supplies at the first tee, and oversee the cleanliness of the starter building and staging area.
• Assist in tournament setups, manage the driving range, and provide instructions on practice facilities and GPS systems.
• Keep accurate records of tee times, player names, and golf cart assignments, and maintain communication with other staff.
• Utilize computer (tablet) experience for inputting player and tee time information, tracking players, cart numbers, and tee times in tee sheet software and GPS systems.
