Starlink Installation Technician
About The Position
As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink satellite internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. You will help customers get online, explain how to use their new service, and offer additional products and services during installations. The role provides a career path to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with opportunities to develop technical and customer-service skills, take on more complex work, and increase earning potential. Training and base pay start at $17.00 per hour, with a $0.50 increase to the base rate after 60 days of employment. After training, the company guarantees an hourly rate of $20.00 through the first nine months; if base pay plus bonuses and commissions do not reach that rate, pay is increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses. Paid training and ongoing support are provided.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; lodging and per diem are covered by SSI.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check.
