Seasonal Starbucks Barista, Roosevelt Field
About The Position
The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role includes working at coffee, cold beverage, espresso, and pastry stations; preparing and presenting products to Starbucks recipes and service-speed standards; and maintaining the work area, equipment, stock levels, and product displays in accordance with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards. The position requires a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and potentially days, evenings, and holidays. The posting identifies this as a seasonal role.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate current and working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
- Follow company standards and maintain the work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage products.
- Follow station-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and product-presentation standards.
- Prepare and present products according to Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
- Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress to comply with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
