Seasonal Starbucks Barista, Wolfchase
About The Position
The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role includes working at beverage and pastry stations, maintaining equipment and work areas according to Health Department standards, preparing products to Starbucks recipes and service-speed standards, and supporting a welcoming environment for colleagues, customers, and communities. Scheduling is based on business needs and colleague availability; schedules include weekend shifts. The posting identifies the position as seasonal.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of prolonged standing and walking; reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping; frequent use of computers and other technology, handheld equipment, and cash registers; and frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate current working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverages, the espresso bar, and pastry stations.
- Follow company standards and maintain the work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage products.
- Follow station-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentation standards.
- Prepare and present products following Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
- Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress in accordance with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Foster acceptance and respect, strengthening relationships and authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
