About The Position

We are seeking a Standard Products Test/Service Technician who will work in our Standard Products Department. The Standard Products Test/Service Technician will test, service, and calibrate Phenix/Doble equipment. This role involves independent analysis and repair of high voltage, high current test equipment, troubleshooting system faults on relay, PLC, and microprocessor-controlled equipment, and removing and replacing system components to accomplish repair. The technician will verify system operations and calibration after service, conduct calibration and preventative maintenance service, and use various electrical test equipment for calibration. Additionally, the role includes performing preventative inspection and basic lubrication of equipment, creating and providing quotations for parts and services, and communicating with customers regarding troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics or related field
• Proper use of electrical test equipment to include oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel
• Troubleshooting skills
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Independent analysis and repair of high voltage, high current test equipment.
• Troubleshoot system faults on relay, PLC, and microprocessor-controlled equipment.
• Remove and replace system components to accomplish repair.
• Verify system operations and calibration after service.
• Conduct calibration and preventative maintenance service.
• Use voltage and current supplies, kilovolmeters, multi-meters, potential transformers, current transformers, and other equipment to calibrate high voltage, high current test equipment.
• Perform preventative inspection and basic lubrication of equipment.
• Create and provide quotations for stock and custom parts, and services.
• Communicate with customers as needed to assist with troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of high voltage, high current test equipment.
