About The Position

The Standard Products Assembler works in the Standard Products Department, assembling and wiring electrical or electronic components such as control panels, chassis, circuit boards, and high-voltage transformers. The work follows mostly repetitive production standards. Training is provided on the job. The assembler works under supervision and follows Master book specifications when wiring, assembling, and installing components.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate; additional experience may be considered in lieu of the required level of education.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to collaborate with other team members.
• Detail orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Soldering experience.
• Wiring experience.
• Ability to read a schematic.

Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components according to Master book specifications with supervision.
• Mount assembled components, including transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panels.
• Fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment and basic hand tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Complete other tasks as necessary.
