About The Position

The Stand Up / Reach Lift Truck Operator ensures the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products using equipment such as stand-up forklifts, walk-behinds, and pallet jacks. The role handles inbound materials, receiving, put-away, replenishment, order picking, and outbound loading. The operator also checks freight for accuracy or damage, maintains warehouse security and cleanliness, follows safety and OSHA standards, and supports inventory and other warehouse tasks as directed. The position involves working in a non-climate-controlled distribution center around moving machinery, heavy equipment, other people, and racking systems.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of warehouse and stand-up/reach lift experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic addition and subtraction skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per day, up to 6 days per week.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of pallet placement based on box size and product.
• Experience with safe material-handling methods and distributing goods according to processing standards.
• Experience with safe loading methods that maximize trailer space and avoid product damage.
• Ability to perform material handling manually and with powered equipment in a distribution center.
• Willingness to be trained and certified on reach trucks and order pickers.
• Experience with WMS/WM and RF scanner skills.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and repetitively lift cartons or bins weighing approximately up to 50 pounds daily.
• Eyesight, with or without correction, sufficient to place pallets 28 feet high in warehouse racking.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
• Pick, put away, consolidate, stack, stage, and move products and materials using stand-up/reach forklifts or other powered equipment.
• Store merchandise safely in designated areas and move products to storage locations.
• Pick and assemble orders for shipment, and load outbound freight.
• Operate a stand-up/reach forklift at extreme heights.
• Read orders and fulfill them using SAP RF scanners.
• Inspect and count freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation; inspect pallets and cases for correct quantities, items, brands, and special instructions or documentation.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security and conduct work in a manner that promotes safety.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including stand-up forklifts, walk-behinds, pallet jacks, and double pallet jacks.
• Promptly report equipment safety malfunctions and comply with OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment and practice 5S.
• Follow the attendance policy and arrive on time, ready to work the assigned shift.
• Charge or change forklift batteries as instructed.
• Perform other assigned duties, including duties outside normal responsibilities when needed.
