About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Stand-Up Forklift Operator for its shipping team in Irving, Texas. The role supports warehouse and shipping operations by preparing outbound orders, picking and staging freight, and safely operating stand-up reach equipment. Candidates must be available for initial training Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM for approximately 2–4 weeks, then transition to the permanent Monday-through-Friday overnight schedule from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Requirements

• Current stand-up forklift certification or documented qualification to operate a stand-up reach forklift, reach truck, or dock stocker.
• Ability to safely lift and move 40–50 pounds as required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable transportation and a strong record of attendance and punctuality.
• Availability for the temporary Monday–Friday training schedule, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM, for approximately 2–4 weeks, followed by the permanent Monday–Friday overnight shift, 9:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• Commitment to following warehouse safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of recent stand-up forklift experience preferred.
• RF scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a stand-up reach forklift, reach truck, or dock stocker to pick, move, and stage outbound pallets.
• Prepare and verify outbound orders for accuracy, packaging requirements, and proper labeling.
• Load outbound trailers according to designated load plans and established safety procedures.
• Use RF scanners to confirm order selections and update shipment statuses.
• Assist with inventory replenishment, product movement, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping dock lanes and work areas.
• Inspect and handle equipment responsibly, following warehouse safety procedures.
• Follow standard operating procedures, equipment safety requirements, and client compliance standards.
