About The Position

Prysmian is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Driver to move and stack products and materials safely in a production setting. The role operates a stand-up reach forklift, handles full and empty pallets and other materials, conducts pre- and post-operation inspections, identifies when routine maintenance may be needed, and follows safety policies and supervisor directions. The position is located at 910 Elm St, McKinney, Texas, and is scheduled from 6 PM to 6 AM. Overtime opportunities are available. Candidates must pass a driven forklift exam and an onsite drug screen.

Work is performed in a loud production environment subject to extreme temperatures, and some duties may take place outdoors. The role involves repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching, stooping, handling or controlling objects and equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting, or standing.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of stand-up reach forklift experience.
• Experience moving large loads.
• Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed in the posting.
• Ability to safely move full and empty pallets with a forklift in the working area.
• Reliable attendance.
• Ability to pass a driven forklift exam.
• Willingness to undergo an onsite drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting, and/or standing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up reach forklift.
• Move or stack products and materials safely in specified locations.
• Perform routine pre- and post-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
• Stack empty pallets and reels.
• Follow safety policies, practices, and procedures according to OSHA.
• Report unsafe activities to a supervisor and/or the safety team.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Follow supervisor directions and additional requirements of assigned jobs.
• Safely move full and empty pallets within the working area.
• Identify when routine maintenance may be needed.
