About The Position

Skillforce is hiring Stainless TIG Welders for ongoing project work in Colonial Heights, Virginia. As a Stainless TIG Welder, you will be responsible for fusion TIG welds on stainless steel duct flanges. If you have hands on TIG experience on stainless sheet metal, apply now!

Requirements

• Hands on TIG experience welding stainless steel sheet or light gauge material.
• Comfortable running fusion welds without filler rod on thin wall material.
• Bring your own welding hood and gloves to the job site every day.
• Reliable transportation to the job site every day.
• Can pass a drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Hands on TIG experience on stainless sheet metal

Responsibilities

• Run fusion TIG welds on 18 gauge stainless steel duct flanges.
• Hold heat control tight enough to avoid blow through on thin wall material.
• Fit and tack flanges square to the duct before making the final weld.
• Keep welds clean, consistent, and finished to the sanitary standard required.
• Work from drawings and field dimensions, and keep your area clean and safe.
