About The Position

The Neptune Stage Manager will work in concert with the Neptune Theater Manager. Including, but not limited to: Production Advance, Day-of-Show Load In & Load Out, Run-of-Show, Developing & Implementing Venue Policy & Procedure. They will also be the point person all Production, Stage Equipment, the Stage and its support areas for all shows at the Neptune Theater.

Requirements

Must have working knowledge of Traditional stage equipment and departments
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Ability to work with a team in all aspects of interaction (House Crew, Over hire Crew , Road Crew, and Clients)
Ability to work with the Technical Director with work duties and priorities.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities of a show and fluctuating schedule in a positive manner.
Ability to work a safe and predictable manner under stressful conditions and long hours.
Ability to be proactive in work assignments and work independently.
Ability to work with Resident art organizations in a positive and collaborative way to reach common goals

Responsibilities

Manage & assist with all aspects of Stage Operations on Night-of-Show, from Load In through Load Out.
See to Tour’s production needs and be in direct contact with Tour’s Production and/or Tour Manager via cell phone, email and in-person communication on Day-of-Show.
Ensures adherence to day schedule, breaks, manages crew and safe work environment.
Maintains the stage area to provide a safe and clean work environment.
Manages and hands on during show operations to ensure safe and smooth operation.
Distribute and explain DOS production needs to all Production Staff.
Assist with planning and execution of Venue Policies & Procedures
Assist with New Hire paperwork and New Hire orientation.
Will work with the Technical Director on all updates and continuing Maintenance schedules of stage operations
