Stage Management Apprentice
About The Position
The Old Globe is pleased to announce winter stage management apprentice positions for the 2027 season. The application period for the following 2027 stage management apprenticeship opportunities is now open: Winter 2027 Apprenticeships: 12/29/26 until 2/4/27 (The Balusters- one position available) 2/12/27 until 4/4/27 (August Rush – two positions available). Applications for these apprenticeships will close on October 31, 2026. The stage management apprenticeship is a full-time commitment, 5 to 6 days a week. Apprenticeship lengths vary so please see detailed listings above. Candidates should be at least 18 years old at the start of the apprenticeship. Requirements
- Strong interest in professional stage management.
- At least 18 years old at the start of the apprenticeship.

- Current enrollment in an academic program is not a prerequisite for this program.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside AEA stage managers throughout all aspects of the rehearsal process.
- Be involved in daily rehearsals, technical rehearsals, production meetings, and understudy rehearsals.
- Observe the calling of shows, backstage operations, etc.
