About The Position
Dance Connection is seeking experienced Stage Lighting Technicians for an upcoming production at CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale, NY. This position is ideal for technicians who are comfortable working in a theatrical environment and have experience with lighting load-in, circuiting, hanging, focusing, troubleshooting, and strike.
Requirements
- Prior theatrical lighting or live event electrics experience
- Comfort working on ladders, lifts, catwalks, and backstage areas
- Basic knowledge of stage lighting equipment, cabling, DMX/data, and electrical safety
- Ability to take direction, work efficiently, and stay organized in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable transportation to Oakdale, NY
Responsibilities
- Hanging, circuiting, and focusing lighting equipment
- Running cable and organizing electrics positions
- Troubleshooting fixtures, dimmers, data, and power issues
- Assisting with lighting notes and adjustments as needed
- Supporting a safe and organized load-in and strike
- Working collaboratively with the production team, designers, and venue staff
