Reporting to the Staffing Supervisor, the Staffing Consultant will provide a high level of service delivery to the clients we serve as the centralized Government of Nunavut staffing service for positions located in Iqaluit. The Staffing Consultant will ensure staffing practices are done in a timely and cost-effective manner that respects the staffing principles of fairness and transparency. These services are essential to ensure the GN has a qualified and increasingly representative public service and has the capacity needed to deliver programs and services to Nunavummiut. The Staffing Consultant is responsible for ensuring staffing practices are carried out in accordance with the Public Service Act and Regulations, Human Rights Act, Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPP) the Nunavut Agreement, Collective Agreement, Handbooks, the Human Resources Manual and the various policies and procedures governing the staffing program.
