Staffing Clerk - Nursing Resources, Part-Time
About The Position
The Staffing Clerk position serves as a resource for two primary functions: staffing and scheduling. The staffing clerk supports patient care service areas by providing an overview of staffing needs and available resources within the Department of Nursing on a shift-to-shift basis. It also allocates available staffing resources by reviewing staffing recommendations reports. Further assists in orienting nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and RN staff to staffing practices. In addition, serves as a scheduling resource in consultation with the supervisor staffing office and nurse managers to analyze workload and recommend a scheduling/staffing plan for the area. Develops base schedules and develops and maintains posted employee schedules. Works closely with HR with regards to all open, vacant, and filled positions within the Department of Nursing. Carries out all aspects of the job using appropriate problem-solving skills and assumes the responsibility for self-development within the role.
