The Staff VP Experience and Tech Product will serve as the enterprise leader responsible for building, scaling, and operationalizing our Technology Product discipline. This is a high-impact, execution-oriented role tasked with embedding product thinking into every aspect of platform design, delivery, and governance. Reporting into the DPAIO executive team, this leader will drive platform reuse, reduce internal friction, modernize digital workflows, and deliver measurable value enabling Elevance Health to activate the 10x multiplier effect outlined in our product transformation strategy. This is not a planning-only role. It’s a strategic execution mandate, with accountability for building frameworks, operating models, and internal capabilities that scale across Elevance Health’s diverse business lines and technology environments.

Requirements

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 12 years of experience leading enterprise digital and/or product development business transformations work including large programs and multi-disciplinary teams partnerships such as leading technology teams and/or cross functional project (technology and operations) teams, significant large-scale project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of digital product leadership in complex, matrixed organizations, with a track record in platform strategy and enterprise enablement.
  • Proven success building and leading cross-functional product organizations focused on platform adoption, reuse, and internal experience uplift.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management, Agile delivery, user-centered design, and product analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience with platform modernization, decommissioning, and large-scale transformation programs.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services preferred.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the enterprise digital product strategy across shared platforms (e.g., Sydney, Horizon, Unified Workbench).
  • Champion the platform-first operating model, built on “build once, serve many,” product lifecycle governance, and outcome-driven prioritization.
  • Translate strategic platform intent into measurable OKRs aligned with enterprise outcomes: trust, affordability, cost-to-serve, growth, and health equity.
  • Lead quarterly roadmap reviews, platform investment forums, and prioritization rituals in alignment with enterprise planning and LOB partner needs.
  • Activate a Unified Workbench strategy for internal teams, improving cross-functional workflows and internal experience at scale.
  • Operationalize decommissioning of legacy systems, working across architecture, engineering, and operations.
  • Build reusable components, shared services, and design patterns to accelerate time-to-market while ensuring governance and interoperability.
  • Partner with AI/ML and data platform leads to embed intelligent guidance, automation, and decision support within core platforms.
  • Stand up the Tech Product Office, including its structure, operating model, metrics, and product development standards.
  • Lead a cross-functional Tech Product Council to rationalize investments, align priorities, and govern platform adoption across LOBs.
  • Codify product management capabilities across Elevance Health, including journey-based prioritization, impact-based OKRs, and experience instrumentation.
  • Launch training programs to build internal fluency in product thinking, design systems, and connected experience delivery.
  • Collaborate deeply with Strategy, GCIO, LOB CEOs, Clinical, Marketing, and Digital Business Owners to define shared goals and roadmap alignment.
  • Lead cross-functional squads across Product, UX, Engineering, and Delivery to ship scalable, compliant, and high-performing platforms.
  • Partner with Finance and Resource Planning teams to establish sustainable capacity models and investment frameworks.
  • Build and scale a high-performing team of product strategists, enablement leads, and experience architects.
  • Create a culture of bold experimentation, psychological safety, and shared accountability.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for change management and culture shift initiatives that move Elevance from project to product orientation.
