About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a deeply technical, experienced Technical Program Manager to join its DRIVE AV Platform team and lead work to productize solutions for autonomous vehicles. The role partners with multidisciplinary engineering teams across software, hardware, validation, and systems to integrate their work into NVIDIA’s autonomous DRIVE software platform while meeting applicable NVIDIA and automotive standards and guidelines. The position leads concurrent programs spanning the autonomous driving platform, from embedded platform bring-up through production release. It drives platform technologies across embedded operating systems, drivers, middleware, sensor integration, and validation, and coordinates automotive software development and releases in a dynamic environment. The role calls for embedded software engineering depth, particularly in platform software, and uses that expertise to structure programs, resolve cross-discipline issues, manage dependencies, and improve scalable workflows, including through AI automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of proven experience, including at least 8 years in Technical Program Management driving software engineering programs and releasing commercial products.
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems software, including operating system fundamentals (Linux, QNX, or similar RTOS), platform drivers, sensor middleware, and software/hardware integration.
  • Strong technical competence to engage deeply with engineering teams, debug program-level issues, and make sound trade-off decisions across software and hardware domains.
  • Track record of delivering scalable, complex programs in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, including translating technical complexity into executive updates and driving alignment across large organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience shipping embedded software in automotive, robotics, or a related domain, particularly on constrained, safety-relevant hardware.
  • Direct experience in autonomous vehicle platform development, including ADAS software integration, sensor fusion stacks, or platform validation.
  • Familiarity with automotive-grade software standards such as ISO 26262 or ASPICE and their relationship to program execution.
  • Experience leading global programs across time zones with geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodology.
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification.
  • Proficiency with Jira and PMP tools, with agility and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent complex programs across the autonomous driving platform, from embedded platform bring-up through production release.
  • Drive new platform technologies across the full stack, including embedded operating systems, platform drivers, middleware, sensor integration, and validation.
  • Run automotive software development and releases in a dynamic environment while maintaining quality across rapid release cadences.
  • Define program scope, roadmaps, schedules, and milestones using deep embedded software knowledge.
  • Identify and resolve risks and issues affecting release scope, schedule, or quality, especially across software and hardware boundaries.
  • Proactively identify and lead cross-functional dependencies, including those involving global engineering teams.
  • Improve team processes and procedures and streamline day-to-day operations toward scalable engineering workflows using AI.
  • Communicate expectations and timely updates about progress, risks, and decisions to team members.
