The Mobile Platform team at MX builds and maintains the core infrastructure and client-facing frameworks powering iOS and Android applications across our financial data ecosystem. This team is responsible for delivering high-performing, scalable, and secure mobile experiences while navigating platform-specific deployment cycles, store compliance, and backend integrations.

This role exists to drive complex, high-impact mobile initiatives from conception to release while simultaneously serving as the primary administrator and governor of Atlassian tools (Jira Software, JPD, JSM) across all of Engineering. As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you will tackle technical ambiguity, optimize mobile software development lifecycles (SDLC), and establish standard operational processes that scale developer velocity and cross-team visibility. By bridging mobile strategy with backend architecture and engineering governance, you will directly influence MX's platform delivery and organizational efficiency. Success in this role will accelerate release cadences across iOS and Android, maintain platform reliability, and create streamlined, data-driven workflows across the entire engineering organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technical program management experience leading large-scale software delivery within a new product development environment.
• 3+ years of direct experience managing, mentoring, or leading other technical program managers.
• Demonstrated experience driving end-to-end SDLC for complex distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing or administering Jira Software, Jira Product Discovery (JPD), and Jira Service Management (JSM) across multiple engineering teams or enterprise-wide.
• Proven experience implementing, scaling, and tailoring agile software development frameworks (e.g., Scrum) across engineering organizations.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of direct technical experience in an engineering role (SWE, SRE, DevOps, or Systems Architect), specifically with mobile or platform architecture.
• Hands-on experience leading program management for native mobile application development across iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience managing AI/ML product development lifecycles and deployment workflows.
• Professional certifications in program or agile methodologies, such as PMP or CSM.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level engineering change management, workflow automation, or technical debt reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute mobile platform program delivery to achieve performance, scalability, and release reliability targets across iOS and Android systems.
• Translate business strategy into actionable technical roadmaps, mobile platform specifications, and cross-functional dependency plans.
• Build and maintain proactive risk detection frameworks using RAID logs, program health dashboards, and OKR/KPI governance structures.
• Partner with Product, Engineering (Mobile, Backend, DevOps), InfoSec, and executive leadership to align multi-team initiatives and simplify complex plans.
• Design and implement engineering processes using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Waterfall methodologies to improve developer velocity and delivery adoption.
• Lead Jira governance, optimization, and best practices across all of Engineering to enhance data quality, workflow efficiency, and organizational reporting.
• Develop and coach technical program managers to elevate program management standards and operating discipline company-wide.
• Analyze engineering operational data to create executive reporting and integrate AI-assisted automation into documentation and tracking workflows.
