Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be onsite at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience.
Experience with avionics systems integration.
Experience with USAF customer and platforms (aircraft).
Experience with HW/SW integration testing.
Must have the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Experience with avionics integration on the B-2 platform.
Experience with software development.

Experience with the full lifecycle of aircraft development, build, and operations.
Experience leading technical teams (technicians or engineers).

Responsibilities

Interface with Program Managers, SPO Customers, and Operational/Maintenance stakeholders on solution development
Coordinate with Avionics and Vehicle engineering teams on system design and aircraft layout concepts.
Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
Identify issues with technical approaches and collaborate with all stakeholders in solution development.
Provide on-site engineering representation at Whiteman Air Force Base.
Provide product support and maintainability analysis and forward planning technical solutions.
Document key requirements, interface control documents, and technical reports.
Ensure implementation of requirements aligns with operational and maintenance stakeholder intent.
