About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Staff Structural Engineer in Iuka, Mississippi. The role supports aircraft structural repairs and related Material Review Board (MRB) and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) activities. The engineer analyzes discrepant detail parts and assemblies made from metal and composite materials using classical static-strength hand analysis, Durability and Damage Tolerance analysis, and finite element modeling and analysis. Analyses include documenting free-body diagrams, loading, shear and moment diagrams, and internal stresses. The position also calls for teamwork, mentoring less experienced personnel, prioritizing competing tasks, and developing solutions to complex problems. Relocation assistance may be available. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret and Special Access Program clearances; a Secret clearance is required to start.
