UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a regular Full-Time Staff/Sr. Medical Dosimetrist to join their team in the Central Region of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Network. This position will be based at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA, and will provide planning services for the clinic. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site duties, work-from-home capability, and a regular Full-Time schedule Monday through Friday. The dosimetrist will join a department of 6 other medical dosimetrists and a larger network team of over 40 dosimetrists. Collaboration and remote support are facilitated by an integrated ARIA/Eclipse and Citrix-based IT infrastructure, along with standardized policies, procedures, and care pathways across UPMC. The medical dosimetrist is responsible for generating clinically optimal treatment plans for radiation therapy patients in collaboration with radiation oncologists, radiation therapy technologists, and medical physicists. This includes participating in CT simulation, radiation treatment planning, quality management for radiation oncology patients, and communicating with the clinical team during treatment planning and implementation. Treatment techniques include 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and motion management. UPMC Shadyside utilizes Varian TrueBeams, a Varian Halcyon, and a Reflexion for radiotherapy treatments. UPMC offers a Dosimetry career ladder for staff growth, with placement based on education and experience. The salary range for Staff/Sr. Dosimetrist is between $48.08/hr. to $77.45/hr. The Sr. level requires three (3) years of post-graduate clinical medical dosimetry experience.
