About The Position
Generates treatment plans and dose calculations based on prescribed care plan. Works under the general direction of the Physician in Radiation Oncology department. Hours | Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Position Summary: Generates treatment plans and dose calculations based on prescribed care plan. Works under the general direction of the physicist.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board and current license maintained.
- Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire, as well as maintain ongoing recertification.
- One year of dosimetry experience.
- Basic math skills, able to read and understand English, ability to work with others, ability to develop independent thinking and judgment when making decisions.
- Aptitude for geometry.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Responsibilities
- Prepares computerized treatment plans.
- Calculates treatment times and monitor units for different therapeutic machines.
- Performs dosimetry checks on treatment charts.
- Assists in taking patient contours or other relevant patient measurements, obtaining patient data needed for planning and calculation.
- Assists in the set-up of complex treatments, both in the simulation room and treatment room.
- Works closely with and under the direction of medical physicists.
