About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring that product development and release plans are created and executed in adherence to engineering standard work for the purpose of on-time high quality delivery of VMEC embedded control products. The engineer will identify and resolve coordination issues between various teams (calibration, SW DRE, SWIM, SWIL, Hardware DRE). They will act as an integration manager and primary interface with customers and development partners, tracking and reporting status of deliverables. The role involves refining, maintaining, and prioritizing the team backlog, leading or supporting standard meetings, and providing technical leadership for issue resolution and technical direction for products of responsibility. This position operates under a hybrid work policy, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to the local office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study, AND seven (7) years of experience as a Software Architect, Lead Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
  • OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study, AND five (5) years of experience as a Software Architect, Lead Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Real-time embedded software system including controller hardware design, sensor and actuator design, algorithm design, software development, calibration, integration testing and validation, electrical architecture design.
  • Five (5) years of experience in troubleshooting software and embedded controls issues.
  • Three (3) years of experience in project management skills including automotive product lifecycle.
  • Three (3) years of experience in AUTOSAR software constructs and implementation.
  • Three (3) years of experience in vehicle architecture and Software Driven Vehicle concept.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product development and release plans are created and executed in adherence to engineering standard work for on-time, high-quality delivery of VMEC embedded control products.
  • Identify and resolve coordination issues between calibration team, SW DRE, SWIM, SWIL, and Hardware DRE.
  • Act as an integration manager and primary interface with customers (e.g., vehicle program teams, vehicle assembly plants) and development partners (e.g., calibration teams, validation teams, suppliers).
  • Track and report status of deliverables.
  • Refine, maintain, and prioritize the team backlog.
  • Lead or support standard meetings related to specific responsibilities (e.g., Daily Stand-up Meeting, Software Execution Team Meeting).
  • Provide technical leadership ensuring issue resolution and appropriate technical direction for products of responsibility.
