This role is for a Staff Software Engineer in Engineering, located in Southfield, MI. The position involves designing and developing software, improving existing code, and evolving/transforming the architecture of software applications. The engineer will also be responsible for authoring team coding, documenting, and testing standards, conducting impact analysis, leading code reviews, debugging, leading continuous learning activities, mentoring team members, and participating in hiring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field
• Five years of progressive experience with software engineering
• Experience must include writing and configuring code
• Experience must include creating strategic technical designs
• Experience must include providing direction in design sessions and code reviews
• Experience must include creating system-level code specifications
• Experience must include identifying and analyzing complex technical issues
• Experience with SOAP UI
• Experience with Junit
• Experience with RESTful services
