About The Position
Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience. Commercial Technologies Software Engineering develops design options, process improvements and back-end solutions for commercial technologies to maximize performance and suitability for business needs. This job family manages engineering projects and plans for commercial technologies and interfaces with product managers to develop objectives. This job family assesses product systems, identifies opportunities for process and system improvements, and develops solutions through application of engineering principles.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience preferred
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
- Advance Degree preferred
- Background in developing applications in a J2EE, Java Web services (Micro Service/Rest Service)
- Experience with multiple development languages including Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Google Cloud
- Experience in an Agile environment
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal team and technical lead on implementation of design.
- Work effectively within large, matrixed project teams.
- Collaborate with internal peers
- Follow Cardinal Health’s software development lifecycle
- Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction and input
- Present live demos to senior business partners, unit CTO and senior leadership on a multi-million-dollar initiative
- Utilizes development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
- Possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to articulate an issue, accurately identify solution options and communicate the best course of action to the internal stakeholders.

- Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
