As a part of Walmart Global Tech, you will build industry-defining seller and customer experiences in growing the marketplace platform. You will be in the unique position to bring a broader impact to Walmart’s customers and sellers by providing insights and intelligence on marketplace-related transactions and provide capabilities to associates in supporting all segments of Walmart. About Team: The Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best-in-class customer experience by enabling third-party sellers to the marketplace platform, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com. We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and delivering high-value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, and inventory. The team also actively collaborates with partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to our sellers and our customers.

Requirements

  • 8 + years of Experience
  • Strong development experience in Java.
  • 3 + years of experience developing UI/UX with Node.js and React.
  • Have designed, built, and maintained APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), services, and systems on cloud at large scale including REST, GraphQL, Spring, Tomcat.
  • Experience with cloud application development including scalable, data driven, Cloud Cost-optimization and message-oriented architecture.
  • Experience designing scalable microservices.
  • Experience designing loosely coupled services using asynchronous message processing including Kafka, ActiveMQ.
  • Experience working on cloud scale massive relational and No-SQL databases.
  • Experience with design patterns and Architecture framework.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
  • Experience in software quality and operational excellence practices.
  • Experience in agile development methodology.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using any of the automation toolset like Appium, Selenium, Jira, Rest Assured,AssetJ, Gatling, etc. or equivalent tools is a plus.
  • Automated deployment experience is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide deep technical expertise and thought leadership that helps accelerate adoption of the absolute best engineering practices, while maintaining knowledge on industry innovations, trends, and practices.
  • Lead and drive large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, recommending data-backed decisions, and developing code and unit tests.
  • Communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams and cross functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
  • Interact with project manager to provide input on project plan.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, root cause), engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues.
  • Formulate action plans, performing actions as designated in the plan.
  • Interpret the results to determine further action, perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues and complete online documentation.
  • Provide support to the business by responding to users’ questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies).
  • Facilitate resolutions and lead cross-functional partnerships.
